I had an epiphany about backing up a tractor-trailer on a city street

That's the engine grease.

 

If the suns still out you can cheat and look at shadows.

otherwise take 6 seconds to pop the brakes and check…. If the lanes/situation are that ####ed up

 

How do you know exactly what that grease was for? Did you taste it? Maybe the mechanic put hub grease in the engine by mistake. Please only comment back if I am correct otherwise you have no real answer.
