Best way to sneak into CA down to Anaheim from Vegas

I’ve done route to Parump then south to Baker.

 

once you get past the bug check at state line the only other scale is Cajon and I have not seen it open in years. You can head out to searchlight and take Nipton Road back over to 15 south, it comes in about a mile or so south of the scale, just where you really start to climb. Past that no worries. Lots of other ways just depends on where your going, to Anaheim this would work.

 

Whoever your friend is, tell cross by the scale house in the late part of the evening... because there is nothing to see on that part of the route and there's less traffic at night. I would hate for him to go through the scenic part at night and miss the scenery.

 

Tell your “Friend” that being “Outlaw”, running the scales here and there and being Commiefornia non compliant is part of thee “equation” of being an Outlaw..

 

YEEE-HAWW, by gar, it's been a while, most the outlaws I know, or knew, are driving motorized wheelchairs, or giving job and medical advice on this site,,. You know, I would have considered myself an outlaw with the shenanigans I pulled, but at the time, I didn't really think of myself as one, just did what I had to do to get the job done, and if that included some outlawish activities, well, truth be known, I saved many a boss many a fine by doing so, even got an "attaboy", or 2, but today, I wouldn't dream of it.

 

From Vegas. Depends which side of town you are starting out. If you are closer to the 95 east side of town then head to searchlight and hook a right taking you back towards nipton. If you are on the west part of town then taking pahrump into baker is the only way to never see a scale. 95 south to the 40 back to Barstow if you got time to kill
