    Basically they are not allowed to use AI to identify you from your cameras image. They disable this feature when traveling through IL.

    Without legislation everyone will be required to submit to one of these before long. The insurance companies will all start requiring it and that will be that.

    But there is still a problem. The article says it created a geofence that allows for fleets to turn it off in Illinois. More than once it appeared by the article, it will be up to the company.
    Also their is already a class action. My friend got a notice yesterday. I'll post a screenshot in a minute. Need to redact his info.
    I wish more states would pass such legislation. Dance camera boys dance.

    So did it cost nothing to install the cameras in the first place? What a dumb argument. Not all lawyers are smart.

    And by the way... carriers are price takers, not price makers. So no, they are not going to be able to pass the cost along to their customers. Though they might stick it to their drivers.
