What important skills of truck driving did you learn after your first year of trucking?

floating and clutching is the same rythm. As long as they dont over think it. I don't even think about shifting, I just do what the truck wants me to do, sometimes a little tap on the clutch is what it needs or wants to drop into gear. You just drive the truck, don't over think it. If your having trouble stop running arounfd all the time with your engine brake on, shut off the engine brake when your not using it.
Back to trainers can not teach what they do not know. Engine brakes are for speed control more than stopping it self, In that cab everything you do affects something else.Crude Truckin', Kyle G., tscottme and 4 others Thank this. -
