If it was all gravity and no aerodynamics the rain drops wouldn’t make it to the ground. They’d be broken apart from the wind and evaporate before touching dirt.

    Sigh.

You notice I put subsonic in there, mainly because I knew there'd be a driver in here arguing about bullets and stuff? I admittedly should have said "teardrop" because raindrops are actually more hamburger-shaped because of surface tension, but everyone thinks of teardrops when you say raindrops.

But I promise if you search "most aerodynamic shape" the results will be filled with the teardrop shape.

And if you'll engage your brain for a moment and ponder the shape of things manufactured to have decent aerodynamics (cars & airplanes) you'd realize they all taper towards the back. Look at the cabin of any modern car from above and it's plainly visible to the eye.

But even bullets & missiles use it. Boat tails (abbreviated teardrops) are common on bullets designed for maximum accuracy. And the exhaust plume on a missile forms a quite effective teardrop tail with minimum intrusion by the passing airstream, at least at points close to the missile's tail where it has the largest drag influences.

Tl;dr : S. U. S! (And yes, <--- that does require one to be fluent in CB)

    Hammer, back quiet!

K100 was my favourite truck,,put everything else to shame to this day.
Awesome ride and i was frequently pulling a 5 axle. Handled so well on snow covered highways..
The Series 60 got good mileage,,i averaged 6.5 mpg imperial gallon

Listen gang... I found a cabin of a k100e with the highrise , it's just the cabin, laying completely stripped of most essential components. But the body is 100% whole... I also have access to a 362 peterbilt flat top... are these the same #### truck or what? Could I tear the 362 apart and put the parts into the k100? Or cut the hirise roof off the k100 and graft it onto my flat top?

When gravity replaces centrifugal force ya'll might have something.

Thanks for letting me down easy there. I seen an old freightliner in mexico the other day, 70s truck with an FLB highrise room on it. Had me thinking frankenstein 362/k100 wouldn't be out of the realm of imagination.
