Well I applied last week to SPT again. Because what the hell. Nothing. So unless I move cryo doesn't seem to be happening again for me

We are so slow, theres not much to report. Almost got sent home last night because we have so much equipment broke down, they had to piece together 2 truck and trailer so I had something to run. The Jumbo trailers 4 axle truck broke down and is at Freightliner. Then we lost a pump on a regular sized trailer. SO we took a regular tractor and hooked it up to the jumbo and loaded her to 80k. Logistics couldn't get it through their heads that we couldnt load the jumbo to max weight due to being an axle short on the tractor.
6 month anniversary is tomorrow. I have 6 more until my apartment lease is up and I can transfer to a different terminal, hopefully one with a shop. This is getting flat out ridiculous with all the equipment down right now.Dennixx, Rugerfan and viper822004 Thank this. -
We were really getting slow there for a while but last couple of weeks we have been back at it. They have even started asking for extra days, that’s not the norm either, but always good to have too much work then not enough.

Why don't they be like my company. Have a normal truck pull the triaxle trailer with a 67k lb load of rejected paper in it. Unsure how legal it was. But really only had I think one weight station to worry about. That I have only seen open maybe twice after driving by it 5+ yearsDennixx Thanks this.

Its the stupidest thing that we even have it. There is 6 jumbo nitrogen trailers for Linde in the whole US and , at one point, we had 2 of them. it only holds 100,000 CF more product than our regular trailers(which hold about 670,000 CF), but requires a special truck to haul it. It just doesnt seem worth while, especially since we have numerous customers that we cant even get to the tanks with it. . Fife bought a quad axle Oxygen trailer a few months ago and the darn thing is so stinking heavy that they can hardly hardly haul much more product than a regular one. We just got a new Trailer(with no truck to go with it) and we are supposed to be getting another one by summer(Hopefully with a truck).

do you guys know of any companies in NJ for cryo hauling? i've seen Linde in Pa hiring for local position but there 2 hours aways from me daily commute would be brutal plus a days work. i wouldn't mind regional home weekly. but being out 21 days is definitely out the question sense i have young children. thanks
Dennixx, scythe08 and viper822004 Thank this. -
Messer U.S. headquarters is in Bridgeport, NJ. However the top 5 private cryo corporations don't have many openings right now. Either apply to a 3rd party carrier. Or just wait for a opening at a private corporation.

thanks for the response, any reason for the lack of hiring currently?
