My son just got hired for a food service in Vegas. Out of the top 10 applicants, they chose him top of the list because of his work history, 10 years with his last company. The recruiter made sure he knew why he was chosen.

You know, if a labor market is tight and you need money, it's possible. I worked for a couple (non-driving) jobs only long enough to find something better. I'd rather work a cr@p job than sit at home counting the weeks until unemployment insurance runs out...
One year, I worked one place for 6 months, a slightly-better paying place for 4 months, then got a job with a place that looked good, only for it to fail about 2 years later. So, I just lied, and gave the bankrupt company's info, and made the dates cover that entire period. Who's gonna tell them otherwise.
FWIW, the term "temp job" or "contract position" work wonders for short-term employment.
