It will have to go through a converter box though. There are no more analog signals to pick up, so your tv wont know what do do with the signals it receives without the converter box. Its not that hard , you basically plug the antenna into the box, and the box into the tv. This assumes you have an analog tv. If you have a digital tv, you will need an adapter to take the ribbon wire from the antenna, and it will go into the tv via coax. The converter will probably work either way.

Do you think there are lots of truckers out there running around with jumbo sized analog vacuum tube TVs in their sleepers as they buttonhook right turns ? Should we be offering these people advice ? Part of the law passed required TV manufacturers to put a tuner for the off air signal in the tv, all you need is an antenna.PaulMinternational and mjd4277 Thank this.

Umm, yeah. I got one. It isnt my main tv, or even a secondary. But I got one...
I still have a fully functional Apple IIE. It isnt my main computer, but I still have it. Some of the games I have for it are still quite enjoyable. Actually, come to think of it, I have 2. The monitor I use for the Apple is an old tv as well. -
What's wrong with having an old console, vacuum tube TV in the truck?
I have our old family's one in my truck from when I was young & works fine w/the digital converter box rigged in. Family heirloom & a sentimental thing to me.
It's might only be black & white, but it does have the incorporated am receiver & stereo turn table, though. (Do you know what viynl records are?).
You kids with your colored & smart TV's..........pampered!Sirscrapntruckalot, broke down plumber, MACK E-6 and 2 others Thank this. -

Nothing wrong with a CRT television, especially when you have a LaserDisc player. That picture looks like crap on a new HDTV. However, the older flat screens could handle a 480i signal and not have that "screen door effect" picture. My old Westinghouse HDTV (think I bought it in '07) has an S-VHS input so the picture looks really good.FullMetalJacket Thanks this.

Was only joking that I had huge 50/60's consol combo in truck.
No way behemoth would fit in a truck, even my super sleeper.
I do have some pretty fond memories of them, though. They were actually furniture back then.7speed and broke down plumber Thank this. -
Totally agree with that
