Those runs sound like heaven May - October. Such a peaceful route going both ways.

We got very busy in my terminal as of late, with several full trap trailers and still very little room to move on the dock. My router told me they’re up to 1500 bills a day already.

Last week was really busy, ran all available drivers 4 days. Most miles I've gotten in quite a while. Then this week was lowest I've gotten in a while. But on extra board and didn't play the game very well this week. Bottom guys only got 2 runs this week. Ready to be over the winter slow down.

    jmz Thanks this.

I didn’t do very well this week at all clock time or mileage wise. Our freight volume is the same, but with the big storm Wednesday and then the small snow we got yesterday it slowed us down.

High Stepper and Cardfan89 Thank this.

1150 miles in 40 hours this week. I had a lot of sitting around time too, so it was more like 35 hours of actual work.

High Stepper and Cardfan89 Thank this.

I'm still running strong, but only because I'm team linehaul. I spent 20 minutes waiting in the office for my co-driver to hook our trailers up last night, and in that time, dispatch cancelled 4 linehaul drivers.

I fear it'll get much worse.

Moon_beam and High Stepper Thank this.

Laid off this morning. Lowest seniority guy even a yearish later. Oh well. 2 other guys furloughed 1 day a week. Dock workers getting switched to mandatory 1 day off each week again.

Have a feeling this tariff nonsense isn't going to go well for quite some time. Going to try and liquidate as many toys and physical assets as possible before people get skittish. Might get out of trucking all together. Sure would be nice to only work 40 hours a week and not be on call or deal with all the headaches.
