I use to do 15k on Delo, now 17k on Schaeffers. 10w30 primarily due to that's what it was factory filled with, and the new thing I keep hearing is how tight the tolerances are on these new motors. How true that is? I don't know. Just went with a safe bet.

I’ve attached an oil sample report that is now with 2 cycles of Schaeffer 10w30, this one roughly at 17k miles. I’m kind of concerned that my iron ppm jumped up vs the Delo. Thoughts?

Terry, it is a possibilty the base oil has more iron. I guess you would have to have it tested yo find out. You running any fuel additive? Could be getting in oil from that also

I have been running Pittsburgh Power Max Mileage but that same additive was used during the initial analysis. The only thing that changed was the amount of grades I was pulling daily, and stop and go traffic. That's what I attributed that iron level to.
