Just looking to see what people would recommend. Preferably with the shortest training time possible lol
Needs to allow pets and it would be amazing if anyone had manual trucks.
Best companies for people right out of cdl school? Is roehl good?

I think most trucks are automatic these days. But! @Chinatown might have something for you.
FullMetalJacket and Chinatown Thank this. -
Pride Transport uses stick shifts and automatics.
Hires new cdl school grads. Doesn't have their own cdl school.FullMetalJacket and nextgentrucker Thank this. -
I just left a post on this subject on your other thread. Not sure about pets at Roehl though, I don't remember.

Where are you located? I’d recommend my company, but only if you’re somewhat local to one of our terminals.
-
South/Appalachia doesn’t matter too much though because my plan would be to essentially live in the truck since i see no reason to rent a place.

I work for J Rayl Transport, they’re in Akron, Ohio, with terminals in Danville, Virginia; Columbus, Ohio; North Liberty, Indiana; Sunnyvale (Dallas) and Houston, Texas. They’ve been very good to me and they hire new CDL graduates.

Oh cool do you know how long there otr training period is and if they allow pets?
-
Please understand even companies that allow a pet never allow a pet during the 1-2 month training period where you share a truck with the trainer.
nextgentrucker Thanks this. -
No pets, unfortunately. Training is 3-5 weeks, depending on how quickly you learn.
nextgentrucker Thanks this.
