We’re running 2023 and up for trucks at Fargo. Couple Freightliners, mostly Internationals though. All our new trailers are Hyundai, we have a few Utilities floating around but not a lot.

I’m biased but I’ll say Cross Country has some of the better equipment out here.

Pups are great, dollies just as good. They're pretty good about maintenance here, changing out tires well before I believe they need to be changed. The older 59- and 79- trailers are passable junkers, but I see fewer of them every week.

FxF has been good about replacing the linehaul tractor fleet in recent years. When I left, probably 95% of the bid tractors at my barn were under 3 years old.

The trailer pool could be pretty rough though. Lots of 20+ year old rusted out junk pups still on the road.

I’m sure, but I was actually referring to this springs under the fifth wheel setup that nobody seems to like.

I always thought those were light, easy to move, and rode pretty smooth.

We still have quite a few at our place. That is supposedly the next thing getting phased out is new dolly's. We will see.

FxF still has some of those old silver eagles, but not many. A lot of drivers don't like them because the 5th wheel release can be kind of a pain. I usually didn't mind them because our shop kept them in good shape and the low usage from other drivers meant they almost always had brand new tires and air lines.

MACK E-6 and Speedy356 Thank this.
