The cop was well within his authority to do everything he done and was right in his actions. He was actually lax in what he is allowed to do. He could have legally engaged well before he did.
The driver was an idiot Karen.... and has no respect for the law or law enforcement.JonJon78 Thanks this. -

Cop was right, though both acted dumb. How ridiculous for that interaction to end up like that.
Shame on both of themBean Jr., hope not dumb twucker, D.Tibbitt and 2 others Thank this. -
Best thing to do is cooperate. Hopefully you get a break. Even if you get a break, fight the reduced ticket. I just got my first ticket in 16 years. 58 in a 45. Cop saw my cdl, wrote me for 1-5 over. O points, $180 point fine. Tells me appear for a zoom meeting, he’ll tell the judge I was cooperating and we’ll settle for a double parking ticket. Non moving violation. I’m guessing parking tickets are more than $90. Probably cost me $250 or more. Well worth it to keep my record clean. Everyone around here drives like a maniac. I need to slow down myself. My little Pontiac is a screamer. Looks fast parked. I’m not surprised I got a ticket. It was a matter of time. Lesson Re-Learned. Lol.

Driver probably thought his excuse would get him out of his red light ticket. If he was that close to pooping it would’ve come out when he was hit with the juice.

I got pulled over by Ohio DOT one day. After we moved to the rest area, I asked if I could go use the restroom while he got started on his inspection. No problem at all. Left the truck door open and key in the ignition and off I went. -
Driver should’ve stayed there and just let it run down the back of his pants and out his leg, when you gotta go you gotta go. I’ve been there. There’s diarrhea and then there’s diarrhea that’s coming no matter what. My point being if he had done that, I’m betting that officer just gives them a verbal warning and doesn’t issue a ticket at that point. Should have played the sympath angle. Instead, the driver was telling the officer how the stop was going to be conducted and you can’t do that. He could have also calmly approached the offer and said look sir I got some explosive diarrhea coming, can you follow me to the toilet. He just jumped out of the truck and started walking off and yelling, which is going to make any officer’s Suspicions increase ten fold instantly.

When i heard the "I'll determine how this stop is conducted." I had a flashback to a long ago traffic stop in the car. A few miles from home with the family in the car after a 700 mile day, he lights me up just at the top of a really blind hill on a no shoulder, narrow oil road. So rather than stop in the blind, I hit the turn signal and coasted 1/4 mile or so to a gravel crossroad and turned onto it.
First thing out of his mouth (it was the Sheriff's son) : "Why didn't you stop immediately?"
Me: "I'm not putting you in the road over the top of that blind hill, in the dark."
Him: "I'll determine where I want you to stop!"
I'm sure I was unable to keep the "ARE YOU REALLY THAT ####ING STUPID?!?" look off my face, but I was able to keep from blurting it out.
THAT would have been an escalation on the scale of this idiot driver.
Actually got off with a warning, which was unexpected.TheLoadOut, D.Tibbitt, gentleroger and 2 others Thank this.
