That is now true, no more free parking.
50 gallons, $40 dollars in store or $20 for up to 24 hours parking.

Can’t really blame the place. Think it is primarily driven by the loves in Cortez. People go there, fuel and buy stuff, then because of no parking, head down to Ute Mountain and park. No profit in that for the place.

It's been a ghost town since the paid parking was put in place, and I laugh at them every time I pass by and see the upper and lower lot practically empty. They completely shot themselves in the foot. Profits have got to be way down. Oh well, not my problem. I don't consider the Truck Parking Club a friend to the industry. Just another hand in our pocket.

Profits aren’t down if people were just using the parking to start with. And now they don’t have to pay someone to go clean up all the trash left behind.

Looks the parking is free if someone actually buys fuel or spends money there.

Personally I would pay to park there especially if the lot isn’t busy. Nice and quiet. Wouldn’t have to listen to someone idling all night when the temp is perfect to sleep with the bunk windows open.

“The Truck Parking Club” has been taking over a number of places. See the signs popping up all over. Fortunately, 99 percent of the time, I can park at the receiver. So a big NOPE.

Agreed . My company ain't reimbursing me for parking so I won't be paying ... I used to get fuel there when I had my own truck and they used to have good pizza as well... but I dont pay for parking.. i went up to the cortez scale and parked there for the night . There was 6 trucks next to me when I left this morning..

I would've planned my trip different if I knew they had paid spots only . Hadn't been thru there in years obviously.. oh well

If the store would sell something decent, I would buy something. Typical junk food. I usually only buy coffee.

That’s how the free market works, you don’t want to use paid parking, me on the other hand just look at it like it’s another tool in my tool bag. I might pay for a spot once or twice a month.

I paid for a spot last night in Gaston IN because I wasn’t going to be there til about 11pm. Parked about in the middle when I got there and was the only truck in the row. I had nobody to my left at all and 3 open spots to my right when I woke up. Nice and quiet, nobody idling right next to me all night. Low was supposed to be 34 so u cracked the upper bunk windows and slept like a baby.
