Staying pretty busy myself. May slow down after next week but so far I’m moving a lot of equipment on top of my normal runs for direct customers. But I’m just a one man band…..

Wasn't planning on going out until Tuesday and got a call from reputable broker however they usually never budge on their flat rates. They had a local one for me so I quoted slightly higher than normal because last week was a washout on the East coast after 3 days trying to get put of Halifax, NS. Fuel in Canada dropped more than 27% and in some places 1/3rd but most brokers are factoring this in posting the difference in their rates. Add in those not able to get across to the U.s. the truck per load ratios hit capacity. 7:1 trucks to load ratio. Spoke to a few truckers after stopping in Grand Falls, NB at a Irving 24 and 3 out of 4 were driving back empty. I myself waited to see what was on the load board from Quebec city, QC to add to the LTL loads I had on. Obviously, the tariff threats are causing order slowdowns but let hope that by Summer things begin to stabilize.
