Well thank you all again for those who replied. I ended up actually just going to Walmart on the way out of the motel I was at. I didn't want to risk anything using PC so just waited, got what I needed to do laundry from Walmart and did laundry that night when I shut down.

 

always include a comment when you use pc. "Going to Walmart to shop. Lateral move not advancing load." then certify. If dot looks at your logs you've already communicated your intent. Lytx is the 3rd party that reviews logs. Keeps them happy. They're the ones that see your logs and circle back to LS.
Also per the safety meeting this week, when going to the closest truckstop to shutdown when out of hours or about to be out of hours. Go on PC before you run out. Don't switch on the road. And closest might not be in the favorable direction. Your next pickup is north 15 miles with a truckstop 10 miles north, and there is a truckstop 5 miles south, go to the truckstop that is closest, not most convenient to your goal.

 

To go on PC on the ommitracs
Click change
Click off duty you'll see "personal convenience"
The Click 1 of both of the drop down

Make sure when you stop to click off duty to stop the 2hr clock then go back to personal convenience for the trip back. When your done go back off duty

 

Just always begin and ultimately end PC at the same location.

I'm not saying to falsify anything. I'm saying when you PC simply return to the spot you PC'd from before going back on duty.

 

tell me how going from point A to point B on PC then going off duty then going from point B back to point A on PC is falsifying your logs...?

 

I don’t either, so even using an ELD doesn’t spoil my fun very often. Pushing the evening later than 7 or 8pm usually doesn’t do me any good anyway either. That day is long enough around the 12-13 hr mark and I’m over it.
