CLP Experience

Okay.

Passed Combination Vehicles and Air Brakes on Wednesday.
I've submitted my application to Knight in Phoenix,
and texted the Hiring Manager.

I'm not sure if they start their training on the 1st Monday of each month . . .
but they did text me in March saying they "had a couple of spots open",
presumably for April?

We shall see.

After the test I did the sit down with a rep at the MVD,
and at one point he said "Okay, so they have the information. Now we wait.".
I'm assuming that would be the DOT?
Anyway, they only question from the other side was to confirm that I wasn't sponsored for my CLP by a trucking company.

I'm focused on Phoenix because it's 2 hours from where we live.
But if I have to branch out to other cities I will.

I do want to stick to the South West area,
since that's where I live,
and as a rookie I would like to avoid snow for at least a year.

I'm also looking at Schneider and Swift,
who both have CDL Training in Phoenix.

I'm basically packed and hotel/dormitory ready,
in case I get an 11th hour offer.

That's about it.

I got a call back from Knight,
which went to VM.
Left a message.

I expect this being a holiday weekend,
they will probably get back to me on Tuesday.

Got the call.
Starting on the 28th at Knight in Phoenix.

They wanted me to start tomorrow,
but that would have been a lot to pull together.

Looking forward to it.

I'm sure someone, somewhere has a gripe,
but I couldn't find any.
