Only thing that rests on my catwalk is the light cord. The coil lines don’t rest on it. I prefer the coils and carry spares. I’m not into the 3 in one. I do alot overhang on both ends. 3 in 1 doesn’t sit well in my application. SKATEBOARDING RULES……..
D.Tibbitt and Walk Among Us Thank this. -
Only because your company put that short one on there.
Mine is behind my catwalk but there's plenty of things between the slider rails to get caught on if they drop too low. I had coils from the factory but did a bunch of loads with about 5ft off the front and needed to get the lines under the load. The coils from the pogo stick kept getting hooked on the load.
I have quick release clamps on the 3 in 1 so I can easily shorten it up when I slide the fifth wheel to the front.

I don’t have a picture taken close enough to a pogo to show it. Back when my uncle would haul 42’ and 45’ pipe on a 40’ flat he and a couple other guys cut the pogos in half and made a folding clevis/hitch pin for them. Fold them down in half for front overhang loads. Pin them back up for normal use or when empty.

This is exactly why I'd swap the spring for a shorter one, mount it higher, or add a second spring bar farther down the lines.
Fortunately mine is the perfect length to keep the lines just a few inches above the catwalk.Last edited: Apr 20, 2025

Then I guess the DOT guys must be out handing tickets to everyone pulling a set of B trains because this is how they leave the factory. Wrapped and laying on a deck plate between the trailers.

Best stay out of Louisiana if your air lines are dragging.
Wire loom looks nice but the DOT and State Police need $$$$201 Thanks this. -
We only got short ones cuz 80% of the time we have overhang loads.. still seems useless because I still have to fold it down.. lolOxbow Thanks this.
-
Bro it is perfectly legal as long as the lines ar eprotected.. we have 100 trucks running California up the west coast everyday of the week like thisOxbow Thanks this.

So now I need to stay out of Louisiana because of my airlines and TX because of my securement? Dang that's harsh.
