I only stayed out 2 weeks this last trip. I don't mind so much leaving on Sunday if it's gonna benefit my wallet. But that being said I try and make up for it by getting home early. If I stay out 3 I'll get in on Thursday and try not to leave till Monday morning. 2 weeks out, get home Friday an leave Monday. When I was home about every weekend then get home Friday and leave Sunday provided I didn't have a weekday doc appointment. If I stay out 4 weeks, I'm staying home for 4 solid days.

I talked myself out of enjoying my Sunday, knocked about 3 1/2 hours off the trip and came up to Cordele, that will guarantee getting below Atlanta tomorrow though, probably back down this way where the parking is quite a bit easier to come by. IMG_1607.jpeg

@motocross25 Strategic filed bankruptcy a few years back and we haven’t hauled for them since, it was one of those restructuring filings, but prior to that we were a direct hauler and they didn’t pay us for quite a while, I believe US Bulk brokers their stuff now, at least some of it, which would guarantee our payment but my big boss chose to stay away from it after all their woes. I don’t understand the logic behind not hauling for US Bulk because it puts us in a good area, but I don’t pay the bills around here.

@motocross25 i ended up at polycor this afternoon, now GA Marble. Hadn’t been in a while and things have changed a bit, Atlanta was an absolute nightmare heading out, heading back in and through treated me better than expected. Either way snapped a few pics, not overly excited about how the front is loaded, should slide out ok though. Heading for a residential delivery in the AM, wish me luck, or pray for me, anything works :) IMG_1608.jpeg IMG_1609.jpeg

Took my marble to a customer who stated “plenty of room for a truck” it was someones front yard, off a narrow 2 lane road, and be sure to dump on the provided tarp so we don’t have to scoop it off the grass. There’s so much more to this story but I’m sure it wouldn’t explain well in text, people suck though, the typical “what’s the problem” “why can’t you get it here” the pure lack of care from so many people these days makes me want to move to the hills and get away from society as a whole, all of this nightmare and not even a thank you. I’ll post the pic of the delivery, although it does the headache no justice. IMG_1611.png

That kinda crap makes you ready for the weekend. Was that the stuff you had loaded heavy to one side in the nose? Also I been meaning to ask, what’s the weight limits in Florida? I know end dumping weight limits are just kind of a suggestion, but is it 80k across the board, or can you do more on like secondary roads?

Yes, that was the marble loaded bad to the drivers side, it was actually a lot worse once I opened the gate, which made things that much more difficult. We can go 88K on secondary roads, we’re permitted for that as well in Alabama but I don’t fuss with it, I’m not back roading from up there back to here, and I don’t have the outlaw mentality to put it up on the big road :)

Yup I don’t blame you. Up here scales are few and far between and they are a cinch to get around. And 10-4 on heavy to one side! Usually it’s the passenger side for me. Especially when anything over 3” I swing the bows for, and that screws with the loaders reference points. As soon as I see the pivot point of the bucket over the driver side trailer wall, I know I’m screwed.

Every time I hear that I have to ask myself if they're BSing me or if they sincerely (but wrongly) assume that there's really enough room for a truck.
