And a manual transmission.
I’d rather pay hundreds of dollars to replace a clutch (if necessary) than thousands of dollars to replace a transmission.

Article I read says you can get it wrapped in any color you want. Said it was about the size of a Ford Maverick pickup. Doesn't have a lot of the extra unnecessary crap (especially in a truck) a lot of people complain about like a big or even small touchscreen. You can get it with manual crank windows. $20-$25k pricing. Made in the USA. Only drawbacks are the range only 150 miles or you can get upgraded batteries with 250 mile range. I'm curious what a charging station would cost to have installed? Otherwise it looks good for hauling garbage off and trips to Lowes and maybe even a fishing boat to the lake.broke down plumber, mjd4277 and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this.

I have zero interest in an EV. However, a naturally aspirated, DOHC 4-cyl, 5-speed manual, A/C, and cruise control would make me a buyer.
If I could get away with driving this in the big city, it’d realistically be all I need.

I delivered a load of them about 7 yrs ago. Price was $16k then. They had just started making them again after settling a lawsuit with Jeep. Gone was the distinctive Jeep lookin grill and the optional automatic. The engines are exact replicas of the original WWII Jeeps. Roughly 50 or 60? hp 4 cyl. They’re pretty cool.Last edited: Apr 25, 2025

That still needs oil changes, gasoline and a lot more wear parts than EV. For most typical household needs EV makes more sense way cheaper and much less headache.OldeSkool, '88K100, Flat Earth Trucker and 1 other person Thank this.

I’m going to buy a super clean low mileage 90’s or early 2000’s Chevy or Ford P/U down south. They’re out there. Will pay $4-$7k. Possibly more. Depends on the vehicle. 2 wheel drive, 8’bed. That’s all I need. That’ll last me a long time.

$25K for a vehicle is not cheap. I've never had a car payment in my entire life. Buy something that's not built to be a throw-away and keep it on the road.
