    We had a very brief safety meeting about that a month or 2 ago. Our terminal is so lax, I dont know exactly what the point is. Just yesterday in a meeting, our boss brought up all the drive cam events he has monitored from not only our drivers(myself included) but as a 3rd party opinion for other barns. When he said that, several of us looked at each other in disbelief as he has never spoken to us about any of them. If that many events are being triggered, then either we need to discuss what is going on or the parameters that are setting these things off, needs to be lowered. I laughed at the most sever being Falling asleep and Drowsy. This coming from a place that has the worst shift times that I have ever worked. Lets see, half our drivers work nights and they still expect them to try and layover during the day. I would love to see the comparison between the amount of company violations between Day shift and night shift. I think that would be incredibly enlightening.

    Meh they always come out all gung ho and then reality sets in. What are you gonna do fire the entire fleet? Put so many guys on suspension that customers run out? Maybe lose a contract or two to the competition? We all know that the private fleets have the safest drivers in all of trucking. At what point are they just beating a dead horse?

    We use to hate when they would send the 3rd party guys to our prime accounts. They would always screw stuff up, and then we would be left holding the bag. Like why would you risk a major account? Send those guys to do the small time stuff.

    Which is exactly what Logistics told my Boss when I questioned the run yesterday. They flat out said "Those guys run their own schedules. The customer is at critical levels and We cant make a mistake"

    That said, It ended up being a great run! There were hardly any hills, so I made fantastic time and had time to do the other delivery and still made it home with time to spare(not much lol) Apparently we are about to get alot more Washington work. No clue as to what it is.
