Order it on Amazon and have it delivered right to you on the road.

You can use the 7 or 10 day trial of the Gold paid Trucker Path for free. Check your DM.

I think that is the exact model of Garmin I used and then sold to someone on this forum when I retired. Make sure to put in your truck dimensions and weight so the unit can route you legally. But also check your route against the state page in the MCRA under Restricted pages until you see if the GPS is reliable or not with that info.

Also, don't get frustrated and give up. It may, or may not, be confusing to get it to do things how you want at first. I suggest you check YouTube as there are good videos showing how drivers use it. If in doubt, ignore the GPS and use your eyes and MCRA book. I think you will like that unit.

Cool, if it’s at least decent as Co-Pilot was then I won't have a problem with it, just got to my hotel, I'm setting it up right now. What's MCRA btw?

Just get use to using this feature with your atlas and Google Maps.

To plan a route on a Garmin dēzl device, use the Trip Planner application. This allows you to create and save trips with multiple destinations for later navigation. The Trip Planner can be used for various purposes like planning deliveries, vacations, or road trips. You can edit and customize saved trips by reordering locations, optimizing stop order, adding attractions, or adding shaping points.

Thanks, do I need to keep it plug in to use it or does it have a battery?
