FMCSA passing the buck on non English speaking drivers

Competence and safely being able to operate the truck is where it the line is drawn in the sand for me. I don’t really care where you come from. If you get out of the fuel aisle and stop parking in the fuel aisle and you actually know how to do the job that’s good enough for me. Lol.

these fly-by-night schools are as much to blame as anything. They stick these guys out there when they don’t know what they’re doing. And the “off grid” companies that hire drivers who aren’t ready. And don’t forget the drivers,,they go to these fly-by-night schools and then they go to work for some fly-by-night company? They are getting worked over out here. Most of them are getting ripped off. Cheated out of pay and told to drive illegally and everything else. They run them cheap! Ripping them off so they can run cheap freight.

 

Both feet on the floor means yes.

True. I heard the Secretary of Transportation say it. He basically said suck it Obama we are going back to the way it was before you screwed it up.

 

Note the date of the original guidance. Obama was near the end of his Presidency, Trump was elected in Nov 2016 and took office Jan 2017. Trump could have rescinded the policy in early 2017, but clearly had other priorities on his mind.

Fast forward 4 years out of the White House, where Trump had that time to plan all of the personnel and policy changes he is executing now.
This is the shock and awe the opposition is witnessing.
