I have a firearm in my apartment. When my son-in-law visits, he almost always open carries. I generally stay away from these types of subjects, just saying American truckers are harassed and hounded by their employers, the FMCSA, and the states each and every day. Getting caught with an AR is not worth the trouble. You get a load going into a military base, and they find it there is a good chance the local police are going to be notified. If you are say at Otis Air National Guard Base in Mass, you might be staying the night and have your rig impounded. If you feel that your life is in such danger that you want to take such a risk, maybe you need to reevaluate your career choice.
Thinking of Carrying My AR in the Sleeper—Legal or Nah?

Posted earlier about not feeling the need after all these years
Couple of people replied about the way you can do that so there’s no need to go over it again here but what I would like to add
Amount of weapons in terms of personal protection that are completely legal that you already have in your truck would probably fill all the fingers on both hands and all your toes if you just sit back and think about it for a minute, but I’ll start with this
That DOT required fire extinguisher alongside-your seat.
Possibilities are endless

Stick a gun in my face while I'm in the truck, you're getting busted like a pinata with the backside of a claw hammer. It'll be like an ice pick in your forehead. That'll teach ya!

I vote the dumbest question ever asked.

He will hesitate. He’s a pointer, it will get taken away in his moment of need and he will beg for mercy.
There is one solid truth in a fight if you gotta reach for your weapon when it’s time you’re already behind the 8 ball. If you gotta go get it and you really need it hand you won’t make it. Farm kids that can shoot and combat to the death don’t even ####in compare.
Videos games tactical training even begging a m’fer to fire that shot don’t prepare you for that moment of no return.
Like several others I’ve never needed a gun or close. I’m all for a guy having his if he wants it however. I feel it’s his right.MACK E-6, Concorde, kemosabi49 and 6 others Thank this. -
