A quick search shows the states your CCWP covers you in. Beyond that. Except on military bases, certain other places a semi/trailer go. In lower 48 an unloaded revolver, or semi auto pistol with magazines 10 rd or under unloaded should be legal. Except some major cities. *like NYC, Chicago, San Francisco, LA* but check on NY, CA, IL, NJ as well. From memory. I am legal 33 states loaded on my person. Rest legal unloaded, cased.
If you fear Mad Max walking back after SHTF. Mount a locked gun case in sleeper. A snub nose revolver you can reach from your seat beats a tricked out AR you need to go get. If you have time to get it, maneuver it in cab.

He’s trolling. He said that he wants to educate himself, but doesn’t want to put any effort into education. Self defense begins with learning.

I have a small, working cannon at home. It shoots actual cannon balls. I wanna carry that in my truck. Will I get arrested?

You know, those pesky green cars turning onto Oak Street while I'm trying to turn left on my yellow truck from Oak Street to Acorn Street sometimes really fluster me. I think by having my cannon on the dash, it might entice the green car to give me room.

Anyone know if that's legal? I'm just trying to educate myself and don't have the energy for a Google search. Been hard core gaming all day.

nope, disagree. I think it was a post a long time ago that had charts, traffic diagrams and asking the question what would we do seems to be dumbest.

I mounted a safe in my sleeper, with whatever I’m carrying typically unloaded, hypothetically you could either leave the key in it, or wait until you are pulled over and spin the lock combo though (not that I would ever do that…) I have 2 daily carry and I use hornaday critical defense rounds in them as they are poly tipped not hollow, as hollows alone will get you in cuffs in jersey even without the weapon,

an ar is a horrible choice though, .410/20 guage shotgun or I’ve got a Henry with a 16” barrel that shoots a .357 revolver round if you really wanted a long gun, I’d be worried more about where that .223/5.56 is going to stop when you actually pull the trigger more then having it in your truck, can double up with a 7 shot revolver and only have to worry about one box of ammo

not that I want to be the guinea pig, but I wouldn’t be scared about keeping an unloaded one in the lock box with this Supreme Court, especially while making a good faith effort to transport it correctly,

pull curtains at night and pop one in the chamber while sleeping, get a knock and it takes 15 seconds to clear and return to safe before opening the window for mr piggy

Illinois gun law are preemptive. Chicago's bans on magazine capacity are unenforceable.
