I have 2 HOS violations in the last 2 years. Is it possible to still get hired by a good company?

Wow. That is worse then failing a drug test or a 20 over speeding ticket. Maybe worse than a rear ender.
Did you notice the sarcasm?
So what were the 2 HOS violations?snowlauncher, bryan21384, Bean Jr. and 2 others Thank this. -
Like @Moosetek13 said, it depends on what the actual violation is. What is listed on your PSP?
It also depends on how you define "good company". -

The point I am making is that ONE company or multiple companies may decide to not hire you but that doesn't mean all companies will also not hire you. The companies don't join online registries where they declare the details of who they will and will not hire. Keep applying to other trucking companies. Understand that the freight volume is still low, so the need for more drivers is not like it was 2-5 years ago. If I was in your shoes, I would focus on the employers of drivers you already know in real life. Apply at their employers. Apply at companies you see in the area where you already are/were working. Apply at companies you may know SOMETHING about already, if you would like to work there. Companies are not required to give a reason why they don't hire. ANYTHING on a PSP report hurts you to some degree from getting hired. You can get a copy of your PSP report immediately for $10 at the FMCSA link I'll put in this reply. There may be a way to get a free copy of that same report, but I don't know. Don't give up, and don't get any more violations they hurt you more than anyone else.

Are you located anywhere (or willing to relocate) to areas running agriculture loads. Not all but many are running ag exemption and need drivers actually will to work at least 14 hrs if not more (especially during harvest times).... I always run non-stop anyway but first of the year harvest started yesterday so I'm not only running my usual loads .... I just started running local mill run loads to keep the feed at the dairy because the normal local drivers are hauling chop and not the local feed they normally do.
It's Fri night and I've already put in 16 hrs and 629 miles today. And I'm under the hood loading first of 9 loads (each is 5-6 hr round trip and about 180 miles) that my boss and I between the 2 of us have to get loaded and delivered in next 36-48 hrs
Needless to say, my bet is an agriculture trucking company is likely less as concerned about HOS violations and more concerned that you have a work ethic. Not all drivers have to do the extreme my boss and I do (we have 4 drivers who refuse to help with these extra loads). But it's available and because I will always help, I get paid very very well.
