Down here in the dirty south no bribes are necessary. All you have to do is say” big effing truck” in any language other then english and they give one to you.
Rideandrepair, Gatordude, Lonesome and 3 others Thank this. -
Some of the cash folds were for $520 and some for $530, WTH is the difference when you are taking a bribe?
-
Sounds like the place up in missouri. The instructors didnt even test. While i was doing all my crap for hazmat and tanker i was there about 4 hours. And anyone non white or non english was just given a license. No testing, no documentation, no nothing. And the one lady who questioned it was fired on the spot when the dude started yelling racist ans the dude who was clearly an illegal got a license.
Makes you wonder just how many drivers on the road were even trained. -
Heck I did not even have to pay a bribe. My road test waved by examiner. *who has been dead +30 years*
He knew me, knew I drove everything exempt for farms for decades. Said it was a waste of his time.
My Class B I passed before I went 50 yards.
Extended van had vehicle 2’ either bumper. I got it out, unassisted, no scratches. “Just drive around the block, find a better parking place. You passed” -
Doesn't surprise me. The vast majority of truck drivers on the west coast are foreigners that can't drive worth a ####.

I spent a lot of time in last 5 years on the I-5 corridor, especially between southern Oregon and Puget Sound area. The clear majority of drivers are Sikh's. The dudes with the beards and the turbans. This is just a fact, I'm sure many got their CDL's legitimately but many did not, judging by their driving skills and their clear lack of understanding of driving protocol.
I'm sure the ones who can't read/speak English did not get a legitimate CDL. I had one dude approach me at a TEC repair shop and in very broken English ask me to fix his trailer, me another driver, I just pointed to the sign over my head that said service with an arrow towards the door for the shop.
So happy to be retired before it gets worse...and it will!Flat Earth Trucker, TheLoadOut, larry_minn and 3 others Thank this. -
I'm surprised he even knew he had a problem with his trailer in the first place. I've walked by some real sketchy stuff out here lately.Flat Earth Trucker, hope not dumb twucker, Lite bug and 3 others Thank this.
