It doesn't matter. You'd never admit to being wrong. If I told you the sky was blue, you would argue. Some people are just like that.

Looking back to October of 2024 around page #446 of this thread, people told you Blair came on visa as TRUCKER and you still wanna argue.

Just because you claim to have never met a Eastern European trucker here on visa for trucking doesn't mean anything. Most of them probably are scared your in cahoots with the government, maybe a spy or undercover agent therefore they ain't telling you ####!!!! In fear of being sent back.

Great, we found one trucker who came on H2B 20 years ago, I don't even know what kind of laws existed back then.

Now please go to the USCIS website that I provided and tell me how many truckers visas were issued. I posted the instructions on how to in my previous post.
You can even go few years back and count how many work visas were issued per year.
If you wanna go deeper in your search, Google those trucking companies who got H2B visas approved and see how many of them do OTR.

It's hard to argue with you and your buddy when you simply refuse to read official government data.
Instead you just choose to blindly believe whatever you read online in trucking media about work visas.

There were over 10 million people who were let in through Southern border during last 4 years, plus count people who came from Ukraine, Venezuela, Cuba, Haiti, Afghanistan and wherever else who came on some kind of humanitarian parole. Tons of them went into trucking. All those new drivers are not here on work visas.

I can bet you $1000 that the Ukrainian guy who just made the accident is here on U4U program or has refugee status.
That police department who made the report most likely does not even know what are the differences in different immigration statuses.

My sister in law proudly announced over the weekend she “still believes Jessie Smollet” that he was attacked and abused by white men yelling “this is maga country”

I can explain it to you, but I can’t understand it for you.

I'd say the number is a lot higher than that. But regardless ok, I'm not gonna debate this anymore.

Switching gears, How are rates and things going on the van side of trucking?

Talk about being a hypocrite, you were presented with hard government data, yet, you'd still prefer to believe in something you already made up your mind on.

I don’t understand any of it. All I see are Bosnian Owned Companies that opened up roughly within the last 22 years. I imagine they came here as Political refugees, during the Yugoslavian wars. Still plenty arriving, barely speak any English. They’re hard workers, generally very polite and respectful. Literally have taken over Trucking here in SE Michigan. I’m working for them now. I can’t believe how fast everything has changed.

I am 1 of those guys,
THE SKY IS NOT BLUE IT'S ONLY HOW YOU PERCIEVE IT.

What is the real color of the sky?

    AI Overview
    [IMG]
The sky isn't actually blue. The "true" color of the sky is more of a bluish-purple, but it appears blue due to how our eyes perceive light. This is because the short wavelengths of light, including blue and violet, are scattered more by the Earth's atmosphere than other colors. While violet light is scattered even more than blue, our eyes are more sensitive to blue, so we perceive the sky as blue.
    Here's a more detailed explanation:
    • Rayleigh Scattering:
When sunlight enters the Earth's atmosphere, it interacts with the molecules of nitrogen and oxygen. This interaction causes the shorter wavelengths of light (blue and violet) to be scattered in all directions.
    • Why blue, not violet?
While violet light is scattered more than blue, human eyes are more sensitive to blue light.
    • Night Sky:
At night, the sky appears darker and the colors are less vibrant, but it can still be seen as a bluish-purple or even orange-green due to the faint glow of airglow.
    • Other Colors:
The sky isn't just blue. During sunrise and sunset, the sky can appear red, orange, or pink because the sunlight travels through more of the atmosphere, and more blue light is scattered away, leaving the longer wavelengths to reach our eyes.

I remember getting in big arguments on here about time wasted scribbling with crayons on paper logs versus doing them on a laptop. I don't think anyone still offers the software to do paper logs on a laptop anymore though. I would not want to be on paper logs doing my current job. It'd be a headache and waste of time. On the other hand running freight on ELD sucks. I wouldn't want to do that either. Hopefully I won't ever end up doing that again.
