You don't need no hydraulic crimper for battery cable. Literally $100 for a decent hammer crimp tool. Put the cable in it a give it a snack with a BFH. Takes all of 5-10 minutes to make a cable.
I always solder, crimp and heat shrink my cables. Never have issues.
Do you guys ever cook in the truck stop showers?

Nobody said solder crimp and heat shrink they said solder. Solder's not going to make it strong enough connection on a battery cable. The current wisdom of soldering terminals as a belt and suspenders approach is that the solder will wick down at least a smaller gauge cable and create a stiff area which will lead to fatigue failure. Larger batteries cables probably not so much

Kind of a regular thing back in the old days. Wrap a potato in aluminum foil and put it on top and it'll be done when you're pulling into your next stop.Crude Truckin', austinmike, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this.

Okay. I've had a paradigm shift. I made Hot pockets in the air fryer. It was fantastic. You know how hot pockets get ice build up in there packets sitting in the freezer for a while and then when you microwave it the bottom gets mushy and it's not great? The air fryer just dries everything out and makes it crispy.
