I can never go to sleep until someone has parked on both sides of me.

Yes, yes it did. Started the day by pulling a much too large calf from a much too small heifer. after chores were done, hopped in the truck to make a 10:00 appointment for loading. Got there before the lagoon pump, waited about an hour. Then, we discovered that since we had switched tractors on said lagoon pump, we had the wrong hydraulic fittings to fit the tractor. A driver was dispatched to the dealer for adapters. There are 4 hoses, the dealer had 2 adapters. A different driver was dispatched to the home farm to canvas equipment for proper fittings. Finally got the fitting fiasco fixed, now to put the pump in the lagoon. Oh, the bank is too steep. So we tried using the bucket on the tractor. No bueno. The farm up the road had a backhoe sitting out front, one of us went and got it, and we pushed the tractor and pump up the hill. Finally, ready to pump. I was first in line, so I pulled under the load stand. The had just gotten me loaded, when the tractor decided to self destruct by fire. Thankfully, since it’s BLITZ week, we had plenty of good fire extinguishers. Turned out some enterprising bird had built a world class nest on top of the turbo. Load time was 10, officially loaded at 0330 :confused3:

That's a long bad day. Mine is just me being mad about inconvenience. Mostly having to wake up early.

Tractor make it out ok? Or did bird nest sabotage win?

Tractor is fine, some wires took a pretty good beating, but it’s running. Two of the fellows saw it flame up, and hit it with fire extinguishers from both sides. Scared the pudding out of the kid running it though.
