I did once; had a guy pulling a reefer dive across 2 lanes and nearly hit me to get off my exit ahead of me, even though there was nobody behind me. Then, at the red light, I realized he drove for the company that was formed out of the wreckage of the company I used to be an overnight breakdown rep for, so I knew where to send the clip. But, I was just going to let it slip and get to work on time.
When the light changed, we climbed the hill, and of course, I dropped him (driving my wagon). But as I went down the other side of the hill, slowing for the changing light, "Super Reefer Man" was barreling downhill and was NOT going to make the red light. In fact, he blew through at about 50 mph a full 3 seconds after it changed. I pressed the 'save' button on my dashcam.
Just to make things easier, he turned into the refrigerated receiving dock near where I worked, so I got extra shots from my phone with closeups of him and all his stickers, plate #, etc. I took my SD card into work and made sure I had EVERY clip that showed this guy driving like it was a demolition derby, stitched them all together on my video editing software, and even added text narration giving location, time, etc. Created a throwaway account, then sent the video to the safety director as well as the owner (who I knew was a vindictive hot-head).
Never found out what happened, but at least maybe I got somebody off the road that had no business driving commercial vehcles.
You ever send dash cam footage in on somebody?

It's too dangerous to play games anymore. If you let them just pass and bunch up all together you are way safer back a bit. You get there at the same time anyways.
I used to drive maniac trying to get 700+ miles each day on the I-40 and then Hwy54 Barstow to Wichita and then return. It was a dedicated run. Now I can chill out, listen to Spotify and not have my day ruined because someone from California, and has no real CDL, just changed lanes and is blocking me. I used to be so mad.201 Thanks this. -
I have a huge problem with that mentality.Gearjammin' Penguin, Sirscrapntruckalot, RockinChair and 2 others Thank this. -
I’ve sent the video to the company if I can get the truck number
I just posted it on YouTube and sent the company the link
I now drive a service truck locally and I I’ve the number of all the weigh stations in my state programmed in my phone and I know where they are
so if some dufuss is driving dangerously and I know the scale is only 30 miles up the road , I will call the scale and give ‘em the truck name color unit number etc .
the scale can’t do anything about what they didn’t see but they can shine a flashlight up his nose and do a good inspection .Gearjammin' Penguin and Sirscrapntruckalot Thank this. -

If they're in a four-wheeler then you can call 911 to report dangerous driving, and show or email the footage to the responding officer during the traffic stop. -
Matter of fact I no longer go anywhere near the PA turnpike because of their dangerously narrow construction zones they never seem to finish, and all them foreign jobs that don’t bother reading the signs to stay in a certain lane through them. Yeah, there was a guy, driving like a clown 100 mph trying to pass everybody on the right despite the huge sign telling him not to do that. I blocked the lane. He proceeds to throw a tantrum with his lights and finger. Then attempted to throw stuff at me out the window. the kind of loose cannon that needed to be sent home without his job. So I did call his safety department and gave’em the truck number and told them exactly what he did.Last edited: May 16, 2025 at 7:57 AM

Those Eastern European drivers I’ve noticed are real bad about that. Wont let you merge, get pissy and speed up when you try to pass them…it’s like they’ve got the maturity level of a petulant 9 year old and I wish they’d all go back to where they came from.
bzinger Thanks this. -
mine will do 75 on the cruise control. I don’t abuse the privilege but it comes in handy in certain situations. On a wide open 70 zone you get the rat packs that bunch up with their 68-70 limiters.
