Does anybody know why the first truck stopped?
Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this. -
About the 3 minute mark the camera pans to the initial accident. First and second trucks stopped well clear, then 3rd through 6(?) got tangled up, with number 7 stopping (just barely).Flat Earth Trucker, TheLoadOut and cuzzin it Thank this.

Not a single one of them looking past their hoods and following too closely sure wasn't helping either. Plastic trucks with plastic drivers.

Well, I will admit it was in a bad spot, and wet or icy could have been a factor, but #4 & #5 really did a number on the scene. The guy hauling the Sprinter vans should probably seek new under wear.
So where are the right side mirrors? Beats me boss,,,
austinmike and TheLoadOut Thank this. -
Cuz they quit making truck drivers decades ago…none of them paying attention as usual..
austinmike, FullMetalJacket and TheLoadOut Thank this. -
used to be when you had to stop in a travel lane, the FIRST thing you did was hit the flashers to alert those behind you.
hardly ever used anymore201, austinmike, TheLoadOut and 4 others Thank this. -
There’s something else going on, there. It looks like there’s oil, fuel, or something on the roadway to cause that. Those trucks aren’t sliding normally; it’s like slow-motion. Even the 4-wheeled vehicles aren’t stopping normally. Initially, I thought ice. But, not in that area, this time of year.
gentleroger, OLDSKOOLERnWV and Numb Thank this. -
Now they turn them on when they're doing 20mph because of inclement weather on the interstate. Often in the hammer lane too on top of it all. Idiots.FullMetalJacket, TheLoadOut, Kyle G. and 2 others Thank this.

Last week, I passed a Prime doing 55mph (my collision mitigation shows the speed of who I’m gaining on), in the rain, 4-ways a flashing. The guy looked terrified.hope not dumb twucker, TheLoadOut, Kyle G. and 2 others Thank this.
