Loss of power on a vessel is like loss of brakes on a land vehicle. Bad day..

    Losing power is no excuse.
Especially on a training vessel where the whole purpose is to teach the crew members of each section of the vessel how to properly maintain and operate it.

Like the one that ran into the Key Bridge in Baltimore, Loaded with violations, skipped inspections and maintenance.

The investigation will determine exactly what went on and when. Somebody is on the hook, possibly for criminal charges.

Collision happened at night so maybe the Mexican Navy does the majority of the training in daylight. The ship was headed out to sea but when it lost power it was directed towards the bridge!

Leave it to ‘ol Mex to still use one of the ships Christopher Columbus left behind. This is the first I’ve ever heard of a Mexican navy. Maybe it was a coyote front to get more immigrants in since the Tejas border is finally closed.
