    Getting ready to head home tomorrow for a week. Work has been doing just fine. It’s nice having 2 days off and because of my mileage bonus get a full weeks check. Met the wife at Port Saint Lucie 3 times for lunch/dinner these last 2 weeks.

    The appointment I had with the specialist 2 weeks ago requested another MRI so she can compare the 2 that will be 6 months apart. Based on the results I will either be having surgery or radiation. Though both procedures will be a 95% recovery rate, the surgery is an 8 hour operation and a 3 month recuperation plus a month stay in Jacksonville while I get the Dr’s release. The radiation is 5 treatments and in my pool after 2 weeks. Just praying the MRI shows no growth or at least very little. I wonder if my 4.2 million safe miles and accident free driving these last 44 years mean anything in this situation? Safe travels everyone.

    I hope all goes well for you, JB. We just found out my DIL has ampullary carcinoma. Rare for a 31 year old. First it was her blood sugar going sky high, then she started to itch like crazy all over, her vision got blurry and then she turned yellow. All within 2 months time. She’s having a wipple procedure done in 3 weeks. Also rare for someone so young. After that, it’s chemo and radiation.
