Here is a prime example... Driver needs Google to translate as you can see in the video, obviously must have missed the road closed and detour signs because he couldn't read them, and to top it off... Runs over these folks mailbox... Hopefully they start impounding trucks like this......

SomeCanadian Thanks this. -
Don’t ban canadians. I would be stuck dealing with them as I’d end up running bc to onterible and back. At least I can get a break and run down south for a load to get away for a while.
ElmerFudpucker Thanks this. -
Like MAYBE it wasnt stopped on a whim? MAYBE it was challenged and found to be unconstitutional?
You want to be waiting at a chicken house for an hour while the long line in front of you reads "The Cat in the Hat" to the DOT guys to prove they can read english before you take YOUR turn?
There is no national language for the United States. Until that is changed by CONGRESS, there really is no constitutional reason to be able to read and write the english language. Over 21% of AMERICANS do not speak english in their own homes....
Thats a fact determined by the US census. Change the LAW - - THEN change the regs...

But all the road signs in the United States in 50 states are english. No reasonable person would think it wise that drivers on our highways not have at least some english reading and speaking abilities? Why so stubborn about what ought to be common sense? No we don't have an actual federal law making english the official language but every sign on the highways all over this country are all in english almost as if being taken for granted that english is our official language.
Lonesome, Gearjammin' Penguin, jamespmack and 4 others Thank this.
