They’ll have my vote the day they agree to driver facing cams in every automobile on the road, not just trucks.

There won't be a mass exodus. Just like there wasn't with the ELD mandate. This is one of those hairbrained things that might get some traction though. But like he says in the video training is the real issue here. The only thing cameras are going to do is provide front row seats of the crash to the viewing audience. Another issue is large companies like Amazon prioritizing profit over lives.

I'd like to at least wait till we see the results from the newly reinstated Must-Speakie-English rule before we talk about cameras.

You’ll have a mass exodus of the best drivers out here because the best drivers won’t put up with this crap and the industry will be left with nothing but the run of the mill bottom of the barrel and if they think they have problems now they will have more problems and make it ever dream of after that…

No mass exodus…that was the opinion when they mandated log books in Canada 40 years ago..just gives drivers one more thing to whine about.

With the way, the younger generation is today with phones, welded to the hands and doing TikTok reels. I don’t think they’ll mind at all having cameras on the dash watching their Every move.
But I for one wouldn’t sit back and have a big brother videoing me.

I'm not bottom of the barrel and I didn't leave when ELD was implemented. I won't leave if this is either. This is what I do and I'm a few years from retirement.

I already have a cam in my face all day as it is... If I learned anything from the folks on here and the old timers I've run into on the road , it's to pick and choose your battles and sometimes there's some money to be made in doing what others won't do.. take that for what it's worth, not worth very much.

The industry has already been moving toward cameras for awhile now. I think this family's energy would better be directed at healing, but if they'd rather waste that energy pushing a snowball that's already rolling downhill then let 'em.
