Ok, so I have sat here a while now and read about all of these "bad" companies, and how they "screw" you over. I think just about every trucking company in America is listed on here. You ever think it may not be the companies fault sometimes? I've been driving somewhere for 4 years now and I am doing great, yet I just read a post about how horrible they are. Funny thing, I watch a lot of people come and go at this company. Seems the guys like to belly ache and moan and not take responsibility for themselves, and it's a lot easier to blame "the man" than themselves.

I've gotta say that I largely agree.

I'm pushing 50, and have trucked for about 11 years. I've also been the GM of a bowling center (major corporation), been in sales, and been a DJ. I can categorically state that I've never had a perfect job. There are always going to be issues. Some issues are indeed worth griping over and pursuing a solution to. Others are merely superficial irritants that too many are taking way too seriously.

Seems the less perfect this world becomes, the more vocal the complaining. I catch myself sometimes falling into that trap, and have to really rein things in.

I would suggest that you look in our sub forum, Discuss Your Favorite Trucking Company, if you would like to find information on good trucking companies. This particular sub forum is, Report A BAD Trucking Company. Hence, the title. Members are welcome to post the good the bad and the ugly, without being subjected to ridicule for their personal views. In addition, they bring to the board information to help our members. Best of Luck!

Well, "sensitive" chicken... technically there shouldn't be a "good" trucking company section on here since all companies that exist are listed under "bad" trucking companies. I know you will probably kick me off of your website, but all I am trying to say is there should be a new heder created for this category that says something like "Bad Experiences at These Companies" rather than "Bad Companies". It is a little deceiving of a name. Just because some person made bad decisions at one company doesn't mean the company is "bad" per say.

...and most people would recognize these "bad" and "good" categorizations as opinions, thereby allowing for the possibility that any company may show up in either or both listings.

If anyone here is sensitive, I believe you'll find him in the mirror.

Now go and be well in the job you're happy with.

I could understand if it was just one posting, but when you see a long list of postings for a company me thinks it might be the company.

many of these companies are cutting cost anyway they can.an many of these companies are fed up with degenerated, complaining drivers;so when a good professional (and there are many out there)comes along there getting treated like garbage.Companies are comming up with BS rules/anything to throw there overhead cost off to the driver,an its getting worse.Bottom line is these co's arent giving a driver any incentive to want to stay. If you want to drive a truck you'll need alot of patients,be willing to be mistreated, talked down to,an verbaly abused. And if you fight back, then things get worse, try to keep a low profile, you get steped on,try making friends you'll get stabed in the back. This bussiness is better for people that are loners.(I get along great with me;and my best friend is my dog):grommit:

    1) There's way more trucking companies out there than are listed in the "Bad Companies" sub-forum.
    2) "Bad Experiences at These Companies" - from what I've read that's basically what gets reported there.
    3) Most of us here have been around long enough to know how to separate the wheat from the chaff. The OPWs (One Post Wonders) that come on, blast a company, then are never heard from again, are usually exposed by the folks here pretty quickly.
    4) "Just because some person made bad decisions......". Again, most of us, even the younger folks, can see through that.

Well I am just a guy who takes a lot of pride in his job AND his company. They treat me good, and I work hard in return. Call it loyal, call it obnoxious, call it what you will. I get a little annoyed when people go to blaming their company first when things don't go right.
