Just the crossover tube. Should be interchangeable as long as the exhaust has the turbo in the same location. Some Ford trucks tilted the engine to the right using different engine mounts….
Cummins Engine Identification help please

Beast on a budget? lol, my advice is send your pump to Premco and let Warren build you a pump and injectors to sweeten it up. You’re LIMITED to what you can do with the small cam engines.
Look on the side of the fuel pump, see the letters PT..? That means Pressure Timed.
PT pumps change the fuel pressure going to the injector which adds rpm’s. More pressure more fuel more power to a point… BUT…. With more fuel pressure comes more force on the injector cam lobes which takes them out to lunch prematurely.
Have Warren build you a pump and injectors to match your CPL number, best and safest thing you can do. He will need the numbers off the turbo too in the event it’s been changed somewhere along the way.
He will get you more fuel without all the added pressure on the injector lobes of the camshaft.
Probably need a functional Pyrometer too just in case…..BoxCarKidd and Sons Hero Thank this. -
Is the parts interchangeable?
Turbo, injector pump, etc
How do you look up what turbo you have?
If the fuel is turned up etc.
I’m pretty pissed it’s another small cam but it runs strong for $2000
So I guess I did ok
I wanted to put Jake’s on eventually
but I won’t on a small cam -
I wish I could find an old school mechanic that lives close to me so I could pay him to walk me through everything because this seems to be a dying art finding somebody that knows anything about these old-school mechanical enginesOLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this. -
Look on top the pump, should be a little metal tag towards the front on top with a set of numbers on it. The 4 digit number should be your fuel code. Call Cummins or a local pump shop and they should be able to tell you what it’s calibrated for… 290,270,335, 350 hp. It may even be calibrated for a 400 who knows.
It is still a good engine, but just limited to how many miniature Belgians you can get out of it.
Like I said, Warren at Premco is your best bet, but you have to know what you’re starting with. Cummins had a blue million different fuel codes….Binderdavemays1 and Sons Hero Thank this. -
I’m still running a Big Cam every week, and not just local. I run all over the east coast from NY to Fl, including Al, Miss, Mich, ILL….
BoxCarKidd and Binderdavemays1 Thank this. -

So I was told both of these are 400s maybe it’s the fuel pumps that are turned up at 400 I’ll take pictures of everything soon as I get off work and get home and I’ll post them on here. Yeah I plan on showing my truck and using it some when I retire about eight years.
I’ve been driving off and on since 1985 and now I haul doubles for UPS and then when I retire, I’m going to buy one of those fifth wheel totes and haul their trucks around -
Binderdavemays1 and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this.

Big cam will be able to run better for longer
Or start with a 400 cat charge the turbo and open the fuel up….will probably outlast and outrun the small cam even if you put more work into it
That small cam 350 will run pretty good with a pulse manifold a ht3b or borg Warner turbo and a little more fuel but definitely going to be life limitedBoxCarKidd and Binderdavemays1 Thank this.
