Ya. My truck
They literally just sent a message 2 days ago about guys dragging that #### on the ground.. they could get another 2ft up front if they would move their 5th wheel back too. Guess that's to hard

You would think the guys with a stretch flatbed would have that little niche sewed up.

They make a little blue pill for that.

The only time I’ve ever hauled 72 footers is with a stretch trailer. My customer hated it because Nucor bundles added up to 48,000 pounds and if you remove a bundle, payload decreases significantly. I had to cut a bundle with the stretch trailer MAINLY because it was closed tandem and was way over 34,000 on the trailer.
My buddy solved this problem with a stretched out cabover (old Terese truck) and a 30 year old all aluminum spread Ravens 48x96 flatbed. He could actually LEGALLY load 48,000 pounds of 72 footers in California!
I can’t remember the front overhang but it must have been close to 15’Last edited: May 31, 2025
