Had it been me, I'd have pro-rated him on miles driven. That's typically what I do/have done in repower situations where there isn't rigging etc involved.

I am running flat, but I keep an eye on DV loads too. I've got a DV and could run it if needed. The #'s I've seen aren't that much different, and I've often thought I could do OK running it.

No desire to, but still. I'm just waiting for the market to turn to sell it.

I know the horse has left the barn, but as a PSA, if any of you have the chance to get tow coverage via your insurance, JUMP AT IT. I pay something silly like $500 a year with Great West. For a $250 deductible, you can get towed up to 500 miles. I've had to use it 3 times in 3 years, and man it's been a godsend. The last time I used it was back in November when I had the Columbia towed from Beaver UT back home to Vegas.

I'll post the exact cost and restrictions when I get a chance. I'll have to look for the paperwork.

So I read the policy. The coverage is $250 a year. It covers towing up to 500 miles with a $5000 limit. It also includes daily expenses and hotel stays. That sucker pays for itself right quick!

Diesel is eating up the difference of $110k including that Carriers truck repairs and whatever else. It's a challenging business where as a O/o you need to look at your margin regardless.

Exactly. Everyone blames the broker but the broker isn’t forcing you to take the cheap freight.
