If it passes the brake test during your pretrip then I wouldn't worry about it unless your employer pays you to work on their trucks.
nextgentrucker Thanks this. -
Still routinely check for air leaks, however what you described sounds normal for these trucks. It’s a quality control for saving compressor run time.nextgentrucker Thanks this.

Yeah but I shouldn't lose air pressure unless I use the brakes right? Unless there are other components that need air that I don’t know about.
-
Could be one leak or several small ones, if it’s a concern get the spray bottle out and track them down.
nextgentrucker Thanks this. -
I'll just take it to the shop when I get to the yard.

As Kemosabi mentioned earlier, the truck uses air for plenty of other things besides the brakes. If it passes the pre-trip brake test you're good unless you can audibly hear an air leak somewhere with the truck shut down and the brakes released. Hold your trolley brake down on a walk-around. No audible leaks, you're golden.nextgentrucker Thanks this.

Cool, thanks.

That white light is telling you, there's a leak in your trailer system.JB7 and nextgentrucker Thank this.
