I appreciate your thought, but personally, I don't accept food from random people.
I have no way of knowing if food has been kept at a safe temperature, or if the people preparing the food have any food safety awareness. (Preventing cross-contamination, etc.)
But that's just me......

I remember when most truck stops, especially mom and pop’s would give us dinner at thanksgiving and Christmas.

The only one I've ever experienced was the boise stage stop out just east of boise idaho... who knows if they will continue it anymore now that the Pakistanis have taken over ownership of that truckstop

I definitely don't like it when anyone knocks on my door. It causes instant alarm and high blood pressure. Usually it's a panhandler and then I'm so mad I can't get back to sleep.
