Two different trucks there. The first one is totally messed up. The hanger - carrier bearing should be on the shaft - shafts in front the rear driveshaft. Rear shaft has to have the slip yoke. So what is the real deal?

I tried to see if there was any play in the splines, they seem tight to me. The U-joints are tight, the one I replaced was a Spicer brand. I hear you on spending money on chasing a vibration, this ones just driving me nuts and something is out of whack lol.

Not sure what you mean? The two pics are from the same truck. Front shaft has carrier bearing, rear has slip yoke.

I did find a driveline shop near me, going to give them a call Monday and see if the can check out the driveshaft, at least rule that out of looks ok and is balanced.

    Thanks, will update

Excuse me as I struggle with my little screen. Front shaft - rear shaft OK. 201 mentioned a bad joint. I worked at a shop that had a truck with a vibration problem. They spent a lot of money on it. After about 3 or 6 months a U joint was replaced and the problem was solved. They may not have slack but if one trunion is not wanting to rotate freely it can cause vibration. You could probably catch it with one of the new heat guns these days.

We got one in the shop once that had a really bad shake like what you are describing. It had a bent driveshaft. You couldn't tell by eyeballing it but if you put a jack stand right next to the middle of it and spun it you could see almost a 1/2 inch wobble to it. Just something else you might check.

I do not thank driveshaft balance cares about loaded or empty. Knock the axle shafts out. High gear wide open, with a load on it, does it vibrate? Just open discussion. Beat me up.
