Another easy Walmart gone

I heard a rumor recently that they were going to get into the gas game to compete with Costco. Guess it’s true

 

i don't know of any Walmart gas pumps here in my area.

at best, they will buy from distributors the base level of gasolines by shopping for prices like all thier other products.

at worst..........they buy super cheap, and sell for pennies under nearby places and make a huge killing

 

Ive seen at least 4 Wal-Mart's across i40 on this trip with big signs saying Wal-Mart fuel coming soon.

 

Well they are in business to make money.

 

They are already in the gas business disguised under Sam’s Club. At least now you ( I hope ) won’t need a membership.

Now if they run their own tanker’s I bet that would be a good gig.

 

It's getting harder and harder to buy groceries while you are OTR. That was once my favorite and a 1x weekly stop. You could also get Panda Express and a haircut at Great Clips while parked at that dirt lot.

 

Maybe it’s an east coast thing, but Walmart has been selling gas here for 20 years

 

Walmart has been selling gas for 20 years under the Murphy’s name brand. 75% of their stores in Texas have pumps. Some Sam’s do too. H-E-B grocery is the one around here that has gotten into the same game within the last decade. All new stores are being built with pumps.
