I did team linehaul for several years. Glad I did. It got me over the hump to retirement. We ran M-F ( early a.m. Monday to late p.m. Friday. It was 5900 miles a week. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas we ran 6 days a week. We would have to swap out 1st driver on 6 day runs to have 34 hour resets. Its not hard physically, but a grind on your body. I wouldnt/couldnt do it now.
    Good luck on your career.

I was just hired by Estes for linehaul and start tomorrow. Either I misunderstood or was flat our misled, but I found out today, I will be working weekends. I was told my run on one of the weeks, as it flip flops, leaves out Friday night and returns Sunday morning. Then leaving out again Monday night. Needless to say I wasn't too happy to learn that. I thought I was told the run returns Saturday morning, giving me the rest of Saturday and Sunday off.

Probably why there was an opening. I say, ride it out for a spell, Estes is a good company, I think, any freight outfits still alive today must be okay, and things happen fast in the trucking biz, it could change tomorrow. Good luck.

Just wait until a flood, hurricane, or freeze. When freight gets backup then everything is out the window.

Sounds like you're on a 2/3. This means you'll have a short week and a long week. One week you'll lay down 3 days and one 2 days you'll lay down. It'll balance itself out. I'd stay if I were you. What terminal are you out of? I can tell you about the terminal and what to expect depending on which one you're at.
