You know the insurance companies go off of the issue date to determine how many years he has his cdl? Hence why he altered it to make himself look more experienced

I doubt insurance companies are that stupid. My CDL shows an issue date of 10/24. According to your logic, that would mean that I have been driving for less than a year, when I’ve been driving since 1996.

I'm surprised your insurance company didn't discover the mistake.
As a business owner don't you submit the DL to insurance to find out if they will even cover the employee.
The driver might be able to change information on the CDL, but not on the MVR. The MVR would show the changed information on the CDL card itself.
    Good Luck

And that’s what I’m confused about as well because the insurance approved him so if there was anything suspicious then they would have caught it and denied him.

So how come the insurance company approved him if he only had cdl for 4 months and the one we submitted was issued two years ago? This whole thing shows me that there’s some type of scam going on in the industry which is ridiculous

Why would you depend on the insurance company to catch something that you are supposed to catch?

201 said you must do your Due Diligence, which I disagree; you are required to do your Due Diligence. YOU pull the MVR, YOU investigate the prior employment, if you can't or won't, then you hire someone. You road test every driver, you make it real real-world test, not pull over there and park type test.

I get it people make mistakes, but there are safe guards put in place to prevent this. To name two important ones:
    1. verify previous employment history (driving experience)
    2. Road and skills test
