What if it Snows?

Don’t forget to remove all intake tubing, especially the CAC(front cooler). Anything connected to that turbo has to be checked and cleaned of any debris. I learned the hard way 15 years ago. Cost me an extra brand new reman turbo. In other words, bought 2.

Heard the pop, thought it was a boot, saw the smoke and keyed it dead pretty fast. No ticking when it shut down so hoping for the best.

 

Mine exploded while pulling a hill. Thought I had blown a tire, then the pyrometer shot up quickly. The explosion put debris intake and out.

 

Luckily I just made the turn from a dead stop to head over Blewett Pass, maybe 1mi down the road when she popped on the flat. Looks like the nut on the through shaft backed out on this one with a 160k~ mi on it. Not even a quart low on oil.
