    Dang it.

Isn’t this the same bridge that another driver went over and lost his life? Was a few years ago, driver was able to get on top of the trailer but ended up losing the battle. Think it was winter time and the water was freezing cold.

I could be wrong, but I believe you are referring to an accident that happened on The Chesapeake Bridge Tunnel . The crossing on hwy 13 from the Va. mainland to the Eastern Shore.

No, you’re right, it was the Chesapeake Bridge Tunnel. I vaguely remember seeing the news of the driver on top of the trailer when they were trying to save him. Maybe I’m just imagining things?

Definitely a wrong place to go for a dive as well-174 foot drop from the bridge deck to the water!

The sudden impact though....into what is probably a decently polluted river! If he survived the impact, then it was the water that poisoned him!

It’s to be determined-they’re still looking for him,as well as the truck, apparently the driver was bobtailing!
There’s a good chance the current may have carried him out!

There was also the Mountaire driver who went into the water on the eastbound span of the Bay Bridge on 50 some years back.
