When I plug into shore power at home.
Can I shut the batteries off? If not why not?
I usually shut them off so the fridge doesnt kill them. When I am home for a week or so during the summer.

If they is no disconnect switch, then install one or remove the battery cables.

Isn’t that purpose of shore power. You plug in at let keep everything going yo leave tired on ? I had company truck that had shore power and it would also charge the batteries at the same time. The claimed it was actually good for the batteries

Perhaps I wasnt clear, my question is.
WHEN I plug into shore power SHOULD I shut off the batteries using the factory installed battery disconnect switch. -
noKB3MMX, Siinman, Mr Uturn and 1 other person Thank this.

No, You plug the power in so it keeps everything charged and topped off.KB3MMX Thanks this.

If you have the factory inverter option with shore power option then it keeps everything charged.
If you only have shore power option without a factory inverter there's no charging.Tb0n3 Thanks this.
