Short of vocational/ regional/6+ figure gross I wouldn’t want any thing to do with 24.5s, good luck finding them on the road, and even for the above listed, would still almost rather a 12r 22.5 (or 315 for a streer)
low pro 24.5s are dead and 11rs outside certain niche markets aren’t far behind

Maybe in dry van land, but I can find 24.5s all day every day pretty much everywhere I and a whole lot of others run.

im in the north east so a lot of guys run them for weight, even still you can usually find a couple or set of 4 if you need it, but a a set of 8 is still usually a day or 2 order, you can find them, but no where near as common as a 22.5

There's nothing to gain in performance. Pretty sure car haulers are using them only because of steer axle weight.

You lose mpg and they ride like crap, that's putting it nice, I am geared for smaller tires if I want to use my overdrives but am better off with big tires and using direct by over a mpg, the ride quality from small tires is where it really sucks, rand 255's in all positions and switched to 295 60 on the steers for about three days and my truck road like a lumber wagon, went back to tall 22.5 on the steer and put my 24.5 lo pro's on the drives and will never experiment with small tires again after that. This fall I am going to tall 24.5 on the drive and might do the same on the steers, or just keep the 11r22.5 on the steer
